My husband is a great foodie. We love to eat out and try various delicacies. One good thing about Chennai is that you do not have to be extremely rich to go to a good decent hotel. One of our favorite restaurants is Mandarin. Mandarin-Chennai specializes in interesting Chinese cuisine. We have tried various options whenever we visit the place. However, we love the Fried Rice and Chilly Chicken combination at Mandarin the most.

Mandarin is right in the center of Chennai, opposite to the very famous Stella Maris College. I , guess the hotel has been there forever in the same style, with the same menu, and the same servers. The only thing that has changed there ever since I started visiting the place is the price list. But, it is again not so high that you cannot afford on the last day of the month :).HOTEL MANDARIN
Mandarin is also one of the quietest places I have seen in Chennai. Be it a Monday, or a Sunday, be it crowded or not, there is something about the place that makes you whisper and not laugh loud. We go there for a bit of privacy, for a good Chinese cuisine, and also when we do not want to shell out a lot of money. You may not get the best of services in the hotel, but it is definitely worth a try.
